Sminge kanoteltplads

The canoe tent site is only for those sailing on Gudenå. A maximum of 2 overnight stays at the site. There is water, waste bins, toilets, and a campfire site, and firewood that you can saw yourself. Approx. 1500 meters from the tent site lies Gjern Bakker, where there are marked trails to the viewpoint Store Troldhøj. From here, there is a fantastic view over Gjern Å, Sminge Sø, and Gudenådalen. Show consideration for neighbors. Stay within the canoe campsite area and do not cross the surrounding fence. The surrounding areas are privately owned, so other rules of access apply here: Only pedestrian access on paths and roads, and only between sunrise and sunset. Driving to the site by car is not permitted. The site is in principle open all year, but it is only serviced during the high season, May - August.
