About this spot

Enjoy both sunrise and sunset from the shelters, which are located right by Roskilde Fjord. Booking You can book the shelters for free here: Shelter Booking (friluftsdata.dk). Directions The site is located just north of Østby Jollehavn at the address Hammervej 28, 4050 Skibby, where you can park. Everyone is welcome to visit the shelter site, where in addition to shelters, there is a campfire pit and toilet with water, as well as interesting stories and pictures from the local area. Firewood You can buy firewood at Østby Havn. Contact Harbor Master Teddy Sørensen at mobile 42618520. Architect-designed shelters The two shelters are inspired by the national park’s legendary past with the Viking ship as a focal point. In the shelters, there is space for the entire family, and they can be partially closed with hatches, providing more privacy and shelter from wind and weather. The architect-designed shelter was built by Nationalparken in collaboration with Østby Jollehavn and Frederikssund Kommune, which owns the area. The shelters were funded by Friluftsrådet, Lokale og Anlægsfonden, and the national park. Have a good trip!
