The two shelters contain a total of 9 sleeping spots (4 5). It is a very good idea to bring water, as you would otherwise have to lace up your hiking shoes first. Water can be fetched at Sønderkystvej 10, approximately 2.4 km away along the road towards Dunkær. Here, Ærø Kommune has established a water tap. A primitive toilet is available at the site. Remember toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Overnight stays are permitted for a maximum of 2 nights in the shelters. The shelters are reserved for visitors who arrive under their own power, for example, by rowing, cycling, or hiking. The two shelters are free to book; however, a small administrative fee is paid.
