Koutrupgård Shelterplads

Koutrupgård Shelter Site, with space for approx. 25 people, is located in a disused gravel pit 200m from Hærvejen and 500m from Naturcenter Koutrupgård. It is 1.5 km to the sources of Gudenåen and Skjernåen, and 2 km to Tinnet Krat and Rørbæk Sø. The shelter site is equipped with 3 shelters around a campfire site. There is access to a multi-toilet – bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. If you want dry wood, you must bring your own, but it is otherwise permitted to gather wood from the forest floor for use at the campfire site. Water can be collected at Koutrupgård, where there is also access to public toilets with showers. The shelter site is reserved for larger groups in connection with special types of events, such as school, sports, or scout events, camps based on a given religious belief, etc. (minimum 15 people) and must be booked directly via the ‘Book here’ button or via Naturstyrstyrelsens booking system. Note that your booking will be cancelled if you have not arrived at the site by 8:00 PM at the latest. If no one has booked the site, it is however available to anyone who wishes to settle down for a shorter or longer period.
