About this spot
Lerskov Plantage, covering 140 hectares, is located approx. 6 km north of Aabenraa and 2 km southwest of Genner. The area lies in a moraine landscape with predominantly sandy soil. From southwest to northeast runs Jutland’s most significant esker, Genner ås, with typical bog-filled depressions on its sides. A primitive overnight site has been established at Rolandsbjerg in the southwestern part of the plantation. There is also free tenting in the plantation, meaning you may stay overnight anywhere, except in enclosures, on ancient monuments, and on the beach. Lerskovbatteriet, which is a destroyed cannon position and bunkers from World War I, is located by the road at the western end of the forest. Access to the plantation is via Tingvejen, where there is a small parking lot at the western end.
