About this spot
Østre Stenhule is located south and east of Sønderskoven, approx. 4 km east of Virklund as the crow flies. Østre Stenhule is connected to Sønderskoven. The forest is very hilly and shows signs of being an old peasant forest with many small plantations. At the south end from P8, Mergelbanestien begins. In the NW corner of the forest are the old Glassmelting Huts (Glarboder) from the late 1500s. Information about this at the parking lot by Tønningsletvej.
