Shelterplads Poulinelund

Welcome to the shelter site in Poulinelund. Here you will find a nice small shelter with space for approximately 5 people. At the site, there is a fire pit and a table/bench set. Poulinelund is owned by Svendborg Municipality and, together with Juulgårdsskoven, forms a large forest area of approximately 43 ha. The forest is very varied and consists of both newly planted forest and very old forest. There are large areas with 100-year-old oak trees and 100-year-old beech stands. The entirety of Juulgårdsskoven, the western part of the forest, was planted in 1997. In Poulinelund, almost 10 ha has been untouched forest since 2013. This means that in these areas, the forest is allowed to develop completely naturally. The shelter site is located in the middle of an area with untouched forest. There are nice trails throughout the forest. If you come in spring, don’t miss the magnificent carpet of anemones and corydalis that covers the entire forest floor in the eastern part of the forest.
