Staksrode Skov Shelter

The site is located on top of a coastal cliff with a view over the water. It is a steep ascent from the coast, but the site is only a few meters from the waterline. The site is furnished with a shelter and a campfire site with a grill. There is access to a composting toilet – bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. If you want to be sure of dry wood, you must bring your own, but it is otherwise permitted to gather wood from the forest floor for use at the campfire site. Access to the site from the land side is from the parking lot at Stenhøj Strand - from there, follow the blue route east for approx. 1100 m. Note that it is not possible to reach the site by car via Randvej. The site is one of a series of coastal campsites along the East Jutland fjords and is marked with a pole from the waterside. GPS N 55 41.087 E 009 52.383. The shelter site cannot be booked. Access is on a “first-come, first-served” basis. However, it is expected that consideration is shown to other guests and that the space is shared. Therefore, one or two people must not occupy the entire shelter.
