About this spot
Hytterkobbel Skov is located 12 km southwest of Haderslev and approximately the same distance north of Aabenraa. The forest is 138 ha and part of a larger forest. In its entirety, Hytterkobbel is gently hilly with several smaller water holes and wetlands, as well as many depressions with peat soil. In and around the forest, there are a number of distinct earth dikes and many old boundary stones. Parking areas have been established at the 3 access roads, Skovby Skovvej, Gennervej, and Hoptrupvej, to the forest. In the western part of the forest by Engvej, remnants of an old circular rampart system can be seen. Parts of the former county border “Margrethevold” can be seen in the southern end of the forest.
