About this spot
The bird tower consists of two huts. A large hut, which can be used for class excursions and outdoor education, a stop during a walk, or a place where you can enjoy a packed lunch – in all kinds of weather. The small hut is placed on a 1.5-meter-high mound. From here, you have a view of the rich bird and wildlife in the bog. The bird tower is accessible to everyone, so you can go on an excursion towards the bog and watch birds whenever it suits you. Both huts have disabled-friendly access. Go on a bird safari in the bog and experience both grey herons, buzzards, kestrels, carrion crows, jackdaws, swans, as well as many smaller birds such as reed buntings and marsh warblers. We expect you will see many different birds from the bird tower. Some you might see closer than usual, as you can stay somewhat hidden in the tower.
