About this spot
Boserup Skov is exceptionally fertile and the terrain is hilly. Beech is the most common tree, and in spring the forest floor is covered with a multitude of flowers. Boserup Skov’s location by Roskilde Fjord and close to Roskilde city makes the forest a popular excursion destination. There are many opportunities for a trip in the forest for both the forest hiker, who wants to walk alone and enjoy nature, and the exerciser, who wants to use paths or follow the fixed red markers. The forest is suitable for orienteering and fitness runs. The forest’s nature is specially protected by being part of Natura 2000, which may require particularly stringent conditions to be observed during activities. There are several bonfire sites and a primitive overnight spot with a shelter, which can be freely used. The campsite with 3 shelters must be booked separately. Read more in our Nature Guide and in the hiking brochure for Boserup Skov. This forest can be booked for special activities. Most activities in Naturstyrelsen’s areas do not require permission. This applies, for example, to a regular walk or bike ride, excursions with school classes, use of bonfire and grill sites, children’s birthdays, etc. However, some activities require permission, for example, if they are commercial or have a noticeable impact on other forest guests’ experience of nature, the forest’s animals and plants, or forest management. This applies, for example, to activities that require marking or cause noise. See more here: Do I need permission for my activity. You get permission by using Naturstyrelsen’s booking system. Even if your activities do not require permission, you may benefit from informing us before larger activities, so we can inform other users about your activities and help avoid other activities simultaneously.
