Vandsalamanderen Shelter

The shelter is used daily as a base for Frederiksværk Skole’s outdoor education and is reserved for the school’s activities every weekday between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. If we are not here, you are of course very welcome to settle down. If you are an institution in the municipality that wishes to use the site during the period it is reserved for Frederiksværk Skole, you are welcome to call the school to make an arrangement on phone: 4772 1566. On weekends and weekdays after 5:00 PM, others have the opportunity to book the shelter. There is space for approx. 14 overnight guests. It is permitted to pitch a couple of small tents. Driving into the forest to the shelter site is not allowed. The shelter site must be left tidy, including the campfire site, and all trash must be taken out of the forest. Water and firewood must be brought by yourself. It is permitted to collect branches from the forest floor for firewood. Remember to extinguish the campfire before leaving the shelter site! There is a primitive compost toilet at the site.
