Midgårdsormen shelter

The Midgårdsormen shelter is located approximately 100 m from the nature playground. The name comes from the shelter’s crescent shape, which resembles the Midgard Serpent (Midgårdsormen) coiling around the world. There is space for approximately 21 overnight guests. The shelter has a fire pit with an accompanying grill grate. A semicircle of benches surrounds the fire pit. Access to the shelter is from Eghjorten via a gravel path. Parking is available at the nature playground’s parking lot. It is not permitted to drive all the way to the shelter site. Water, a toilet, and firewood are available at the Nature Playground. The shelter site, including the fire pit, must be left tidy, and all waste must be removed from the forest. Remember to extinguish the fire before leaving the shelter site! The shelter must be booked.
