Mosbjerg - shelter ved Landbrugsmuseet og Naturpark Tolne-stien

The small 4-person shelter is located close to the Agricultural Museum in Mosbjerg (Vendsyssel Historical Museum) and directly on the Naturpark Tolne trail. The area is interesting geologically, historically, and naturally. The shelter is situated at a north-facing forest edge adjacent to a sheep-grazed field – so there is a fence (with swing gates) in front and perhaps bleating – but also a view over a varied landscape with burial mounds. There are no other facilities than just the small bookable shelter, and tents are not allowed near the shelter. If you have booked, you have priority, but otherwise, you are welcome to use the shelter on a “first-come, first-served” basis. In any case, you may stay a maximum of 2 nights in the same shelter. Campfires are not allowed at the shelter, but a small camping stove may be used if it is stable and fire-safe – for example, on a small plate you bring yourself. Keep the place neat and clean and always take your waste with you. A fire pit is available 100 meters away at the camp school/museum, which may be used, and there is also a drinking water tap there (during the summer half-year). Never make a larger fire than necessary and extinguish the fire thoroughly. During the museum’s opening hours, there is a toilet. If you need to “use the toilet” outside opening hours, dig a small hole in the forest floor for feces and paper and cover it thoroughly afterward. Driving to the museum is not permitted – park in the car park at the entrance (to Jerupvej 613) and walk the 300 meters. Turn right in front of the museum and look for the swing gate in the sheep fence with the pictogram for the Tolne trail. The shelter is operated by Naturpark Tolnes Venner.
