About this spot

In a clearing in True Skov’s “Lille Amerika” (Little America) lies Koglen. A shelter, shaped like a gigantic pinecone, with space for four overnight guests. The shelter must be booked if you want to ensure an overnight stay. For day events, there is space for 15 people at the spot. The spot is only accessible on foot. You reach the clearing through a forest tunnel of pruned trees. When booking, you must occupy the shelters before 8 PM, otherwise your priority right will expire. The booking only applies to the shelter itself. Everyone is welcome to use the spot. There is a fire pit that can be used with caution, and firewood must be brought from home or collected from the forest floor – felling trees is not permitted. Some wood is laid out opposite the composting toilet, which can be used as firewood. There is no water at the spot. A composting toilet is located by the forest road. The shelter is owned by Aarhus Municipality and is located in a state forest.
