Sdr. Nyland - tangtag shelter på lille teltplads

In collaboration with the seaweed roof group on Læsø and with support from Friluftsrådet, a shelter – constructed as a traditional seaweed roof – has been built at the small tent site on the road towards Sdr. Nyland. The site is intended for overnight stays for people on bike tours, hikes, horseback riding tours - and is well-situated if, for example, you are touring Læsø. There is no parking lot, but you can park at the parking lot by Sdr. Nyland and walk approx. 750 meters back. You may stay a maximum of 2 nights at the site. It cannot be booked, so make space for others. In addition to the shelter, 2 small tents are allowed right around the shelter (not spread throughout the entire vegetation). A little behind the shelter there is a composting toilet, and by the gravel road down to the water there is a drinking water tap which is open during the summer half of the year. Fires are NOT permitted at the site, but there is a concrete slab where you can place your cooking stove. There is no trash can, so take your trash with you. In general, help keep the site neat and clean.
