Shelter Thurø Rev

Campsite with a shelter that can accommodate approx. 6 adults, a campfire site with grill, and a table with benches. The shelter is intended for stays of max. 2 nights. It is possible to pitch a single tent within the enclosure; this cannot be reserved. From the shelter, there are sea views, views of Tåsinge and Langelandsbroen. The shelter site is located in the northeastern part of Thurø Rev. If arriving by car, park in the public parking lot at the end of Østerskovvej 5700 Svendborg. From here, you can walk along a protected path onto the reef to the shelter. The shelter site borders private forest; respect the access rules for private forest, which include: You may walk on roads and paths. You may cycle on gravel paths. Firewood must NOT be collected in the forest. Be considerate of the animals grazing in the enclosure bordering the shelter site. Noise and loud music are strictly prohibited. The shelter site was established as part of the LIFE Overdrev Project II, which aims to improve and restore the ‘overdrev’ habitat type. The shelter cannot be booked, but the “first come, first served” principle applies. It is not permitted to camp anywhere else on the reef.
