Sct. Gertruds Sti - Rimsø Kirke

Close to Rimsø kirke, within a windbreak planting, lies a shelter with a view to the south and west. The shelter is built of raw larch wood – including posts, floor, and roof covering (bituminous shingles) – It is placed on a cement block foundation. One of the walls is made of plexiglass, so you can also enjoy the view from inside the shelter. Its shape is inspired by an inverted boat. (Both protection and means of transport). Larch wood will turn grey within a few years, which will blend well with the surroundings. There is a parking lot in the immediate vicinity of the shelter. There is access to water and a toilet in the sexton’s building at the cemetery. Open fires are not permitted, but you can use a Trangia stove for cooking. Table-bench sets can be found in Tores Have (Toresvej 1) not far from the shelter.
