About this spot

Where nature lovers and birds meet. Køge Bay is a beautiful area for recreational activities on the water and along the coast. Here you will find one beautiful marina after another, each offering plenty of life and opportunities. To the north lie the harbors of Greve, Ishøj, Brøndby, and Vallensbæk, and further south you will encounter Mosede Havn and Køge Marina. There are several visitor buoys in the northern part of the bay. In Ishøj, Havhytten provides many blue activities year-round, and along the coast, sailors, rowers, divers, and hikers gather to enjoy nature and the coast’s sand dunes and beaches. But birds also gather here in large numbers. This is partly due to the many wetlands along the coast and its important location along many bird migration routes. Between Ishøj and Greve lies a good bird area, and north of Køge lies Ølsemagle Revle. It is an area created by sand deposits from the sea less than a hundred years ago. Here is a combination of lakes, islands, salt marsh, sand spits, and reed forests, which means you can experience ducks, geese, and wading birds in large numbers, as well as birds of prey and other birds. Finally, you can visit Mosede Fort and discover how Denmark secured Køge Bay against uninvited guests during World War I. Find the Blue Experiences in Køge Bay.
