About this spot
Tune skov is a nature area that encompasses both new forest and open nature. Here there are gravel roads, bridle paths, and a shelter with a fire pit. The forest is located directly above an important groundwater reservoir and is also very close to the city, benefiting the public’s outdoor life and health. There will not only be trees in the new forest, but also open natural areas for the benefit of nature and visitors. The forest will also produce wood for, for example, furniture and houses. The first trees were planted in April 2011 in the forest’s southwesternmost part. The forest will be established over the next 20-30 years.
