Hannenov skov and Ovstrup skov form a contiguous forest area on Midtfalster of 530 ha. The forests offer many nature experiences, exciting ancient monuments, outdoor facilities, and trail systems for both pedestrians and riders. In the forests, one can see large, old oak trees that are up to 300 years old. They date back to the time before the current Hannenov-Ovstrup forests were planted. In both Ovstrup skov and Hannenov skov, in cooperation with Hannenov Hestelaug, a network of marked bridle paths has been established, which are frequently used by local riders and equestrians. In connection with the bridle paths, two shelters and a horse paddock have been built near Bjerregaards sten, where riders or other forest guests have the opportunity for a primitive overnight stay.
