About this spot
The forest has been there for a long time, and children have always been welcome. Now we call it a “children’s forest” because it’s really good for children - and their parents and grandparents. There are different types of forest where one can play and enjoy themselves. You may build dens, play tag, find ants, flowers, run off the paths, and eat your packed lunch in peace and quiet. The children’s forest was created in collaboration with local institutions and volunteers and is therefore very different from the 5 other children’s forests in Viborg Municipality. In the Children’s Forest in Stoholm you will find: Packed lunch house with tables/benches 2 Campfire sites - one with a grill grate Shelter built by the Residents’ Association Lykkehjul with inspiration for activities Orienteering course made by Stoholm SFO - on Stoholm School’s website you can see how to use the orienteering course Orienteering course Spruce cone hideout Children’s forest bench Info sign about life in the children’s forest Site-specific map table
