Eshøj Shelterplads

Site address: Eshøjvej 2, 7700 Thisted. Eshøj Skov is a special forest with many unique tree species and rich flora. The forest extends all the way to Limfjorden. The shelter site is located by the beach with a view over the fjord but is set back in the forest to provide shelter. It was established in spring 2011. There is a large campfire site close to the two shelters, and it is possible to park near the shelter site. It is ideal to use the shelter site for multi-day kayaking trips, as there are several primitive overnight stays along the fjord, including on Mors and near Vildsund. It is 25 meters to the beach, which has large stones. Best time for phone contact between 8 AM and 3 PM. Shopping: 3.5 km. - Eshøj forest is located east of Thisted town, right by the fjord. To reach the shelter site, you can drive east on Eshøjvej, where the forest is on the right side of the road.
