About this spot

The shelter has room for approximately 24 people. There is a barbecue area and a primitive toilet without water. The site is situated high up, sheltered, and with views over fields, Porsemosen, and Ledøje village. The campsite is named after Ole Rømer’s country observatory, Tusculanum, the marking of which can be seen right next to the campsite. The campsite is intended for larger organized groups, for example, associations, schools, and institutions. The site can be booked for overnight stays, however, for a maximum of 4 nights. Bookings can be made no earlier than one year before the overnight stay. With a booking, you must occupy the campsite before 8 PM, otherwise, your preferential right expires. If the site is not booked, it can be used during daylight hours on a first-come, first-served basis. You will typically be able to gather some firewood around the site, but if you want to ensure dry firewood, you should bring your own dry firewood or barbecue charcoal. Protect living trees. Motor vehicle access to the site is not permitted, and permission cannot be applied for. Leave the site as you would wish to find it. Follow the instructions on the information sign at the campsite.
