About this spot

Regulations for the use of the 2 shelters by Gørlev lake. The area is public and therefore subject to the rules in the Public Order Act pursuant to § 23 of Act no. 444 of 9 June 2004 on police activities. Use is on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis. We cannot guarantee that you will have the shelter site to yourself, but – please be considerate, so there is space for everyone; overnight guests have first priority to the shelters. Max. two consecutive overnight stays – presence is at your own risk. Motor vehicle access to the shelter site is not permitted – park at the dog forest at the end of Rørmosevej or at Gørlev hall. Toilet visits: Take the bridge over the stream to the dog forest, where you will find the compost toilet, which you should leave in a hygienic condition for the next person. Bring your own paper towels or similar. Take your waste with you. It’s part of the sport! There is a rubbish bin by the dog forest and large bins on Algade by the old sugar factory. Firewood for the campfire can be bought at XL, Jem & Fix, and SHELL. Do not damage the living vegetation in the area. Be careful with open fires and extinguish embers before leaving the site. There is no drinking water at the site. Be aware that noisy behavior, including playing loud music, is not permitted. Silence must be observed from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM out of consideration for the surroundings, including bird and animal life by the lake. Please take good care of the 2 nice shelters and the campfire site; they are yours and mine – and they should last for many years.
