The city has around 65,000 inhabitants and is known for its historic city center, Randers Regnskov, and a strong connection to both nature and agriculture. The nature around Randers is rich and varied. Gudenåen, which runs through the city, is Denmark’s longest river and provides access to a wealth of outdoor activities such as kayaking, fishing, and hiking. Close to the Arla® ØKO shelter, there is a parking lot, and from here, the field leads to the shelter. From the parking lot, it is approximately 200 meters in total through a slightly hilly landscape. Number of shelters: 1 unit. Number of sleeping places: 4-(5) people. Drinking water: No. Toilet: A composting toilet is available at the shelter. Tables & benches: Yes, there is space for 4 people. Fire pit: Yes, but you must bring your own firewood. Tents: No, pitching tents is not allowed. Rules for using the shelter site: Remember to extinguish the fire. Use the trash can. Keep the shelter site neat and clean. Avoid unnecessary noise and disturbance. Playing music is not allowed. Animals are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash. Animals must not be fed or disturbed. Important: You must not have been abroad within the last 48 hours before visiting a farm, as you may bring animal diseases to Denmark.
