About this spot

Ølgryde plantage is a plantation of approximately 500 hectares south of Holstebro. The forest consists mostly of conifers, but deciduous tree belts have been planted along roads and firebreaks, which will in time provide good stability and a varied forest landscape. There is a good campsite with a shelter, campfire site, water, and toilet. Next to the main road Skjernvej, there is a dog forest where dogs can be walked off-leash. There is a fair amount of roe deer in the forest, whereas red deer are only occasionally encountered.
