About this spot
The watermill is located on the raised seabed close to the marginal moraine Toftum Bjerge and a protected oak scrubland that dates back more than 200 years. The mill has been restored several times and is now run by volunteers. Aa-Mølle was in operation until February 14, 1953. The water supply from Fald Å was interrupted in 1954 due to river straightening for the benefit of further drainage of meadow areas, and the mill finally stopped. You are always welcome to go into the mill to get a sense of how the mill works. If you wish to see the mill in operation, it is open for this during the period from the 3rd Sunday in June up to and including the 1st weekend in September, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 PM to 4 PM. If you arrive in a motorhome, you are also very welcome to stay overnight at the designated spot. Address: …/read more at friluftsguiden.dk.
