Vognkær Enge Shelter

Coastal shelter on the south side of Vejle Fjord with space for 8 people, along with a grill and fire pit. There is access to a composting toilet – bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. If you want to be sure of dry wood, you must bring it yourself, but it is otherwise permitted to gather wood from the forest floor for use in the fire pit. When arriving from the land side, cars must be parked in a public parking lot approximately 1 km east of the shelter site. After this, one can follow the gravel road along the coast on foot or by bike. The site is one of several coastal campsites along the East Jutland fjords and is marked with a pole from the waterside. GPS N 55 39.901` E 009 42.763. The shelter site cannot be booked. Access is on a “first come, first served” basis. However, it is expected that consideration is shown to other guests and that the space is shared.
