About this spot
At the site, there are two shelters with space for 3 people in each shelter. Overnight stays are allowed for a maximum of 2 nights. At the site, there is access to water, which can be fetched from an outdoor tap at the clubhouse. For boaters, there is access from Vilsted Sø with a hauling-out area by the lake at 516.959 E, 6306207 N, approximately 330 m across a field to the site. Access from Limfjorden via Bjørnsholm Å, but only in the period 23/6-31/12. The site is located west of Vilsted town behind the sports fields and next to regional bicycle route no. 38 and the bridle path, which goes around a large part of the lake. Parking is at the address, Ranumvej 31a, 9670 Løgstør. Vilsted Sø is owned by Aage V. Jensens fonde and managed by Naturstyrelsen, Himmerland. Vilsted Sø, covering approximately 450 hectares, was established in 2006. The shelter was built with support from A.P. Møller Fonden.
