About this spot
With the forest and nature area Kobæk skov, Skælskør town has had nature drawn right up to the town border, creating a connection between the town and the coast at Kobæk beach and Vasebro. The most important purpose of the new nature area is to create opportunities for activities and experiences in nature. You can experience many types of nature in Kobæk skov. The forested areas are established on former agricultural land, which to the west borders large salt meadows where grazing cattle roam and many species of waterfowl find a habitat. As a supplement, a new wetland, Kobæk sø, has been established north of the road to Kobæk beach, which, unlike the salty salt meadows, is characterized by freshwater – also with many waterfowl here. You can enjoy this area from a wheelchair-accessible bird tower on the southern edge of Kobæk sø. South of Kobækvejen, outdoor facilities such as a dog forest, paved exercise trails, picnic areas, a shelter camp site, and a nature base can be found.
