Ilskov Shelterplads

Book: Self-service. The site has a total of 3 shelters, and one is located in a scenic area slightly south of Ilskov by fields, forest, and a lake. Two of the shelters are located on FDF Ilskov’s area in close proximity to a water tap, toilet, and electricity. These 2 shelters can be booked via Herning Municipality’s shelter booking page. Click on the link at the bottom of the page here. The 3rd shelter is located a few hundred meters away by the shore of the small lake Skåphusdam. This shelter can be used on a first-come, first-served basis. The shelter site is approx. 500 meters east of Alhedestien, the cycle path between Viborg and Herning, and you can follow a path from the cycle path to the site. The shelter site is owned by Ilskov Kontaktråd under Ilskov Borgerforening and may be used by everyone. Overview of facilities at Ilskov Shelterplads: A total of 3 shelters with 6-7 sleeping places in each shelter, a fireplace with a grate (at both shelter locations), a flush toilet (located at the 2 shelters – may be used by everyone at the shelter site).
