About this spot
The site is located between a young spruce stand and an old mountain pine stand. There are two shelters - one with space for approximately 6 people and one with space for approximately 8 people, a campfire site, drinking water (summer), a composting toilet, and a picnic table set. Firewood is not provided, but dry branches can be collected from the forest floor. Never make a fire larger than necessary and extinguish it thoroughly when you are done. Please help keep the site neat and clean and always take your trash with you. The site cannot be booked - make room for others. Tents are allowed right around the shelters. The site is located adjacent to Vestkystruten (National Cycle Route No. 1). Driving cars to the site is NOT allowed. Parking is available in the parking lots at Råbjergvej. From Råbjergvej, approximately 3 km west of the main road to Skagen, turn onto the forest road heading north (Vestkystruten). Follow Vestkystruten for approximately 2 km, and find the campsite sign on the right. There is a toilet building open in summer adjacent to Råbjerg Mile immediately north of the campsite (across the dune). Fantastic sunset from Råbjerg Mile. Small observation tower north of the gravel road. The shelter was built with support from the A.P. Møller Foundation.
