Shelterplads i Møllegårdsskoven

Parking at the parking lot Møllegårdsvej 30, 5560 Aarup in the southern part of the forest. Public transport: The bus stops at Aarupskolen, from where it is approx. 1.2 km to the shelter on foot. Overnight site with shelter and barbecue area. Sleeping capacity for up to approx. 6 people. Toilet facilities (composting toilet) are available at Naturlegepladsen on Møllegårdsvej, approx. 400 meters from the shelter site. By following the paths in the forest, you will reach Møllegårdsskoven’s shelter site. The site is located in an urban-proximate nature area on the outskirts of Aarup and an oak forest. The site consists of a shelter with an accompanying fire pit and picnic table, providing ample opportunity to cook over a campfire. If there is firewood in the wood shed, you are welcome to use it in limited quantities. It costs DKK 20, which can be paid via MobilePay no. 878 119. Firewood is only provided occasionally, so if you want to be sure you can light a fire, bring your own firewood. Naturally, it is not permitted to fell or cut trees and bushes at the site. The area is hilly with forest and open grasslands where cattle graze. Here there is an opportunity to take family and friends on an exploration in the forest, go for long walks, and visit the nearby playground. There are several viewpoints in the area with benches where you can enjoy the view. Dogs must be kept on a leash. However, there is a dog forest in the southern end of the forest where dogs are allowed to run free - but under full control.
