About this spot

The primitive overnight site is located at the edge of the forest in Sonnerup Skov with a view of Arresø. It consists of 1 mini-shelter with a bonfire site and two small benches. It is possible to pitch a couple of smaller tents within 20 meters of the shelter. There is room for 2-3 overnight guests in the shelter. The shelter site is located along the Halsninoen hiking trail, which stretches from Hundested to Strø Bjerge. You must bring your own water and firewood. It is permitted to collect branches on the forest floor for firewood, but trees must not be felled. The shelter site must be left tidy, and all waste must be carried out of the forest. Remember to extinguish the bonfire before you leave the shelter site! You can find the shelter with these GPS coordinates: 55.951954, 12.06151. The shelter was built with support from the A.P. Møller Foundation.
