About this spot

Nørreskoven is one of Denmark’s longest coastal forests, stretching almost 9 kilometers along the sea. The forest is located on nutrient-rich soil in hilly terrain, and the beech trees here grow unusually tall and beautiful. If you are by car, you can drive through the entire forest from south to north along Nørreskovvej. Along the route, there are several opportunities to drive out to the water and park at Naturstyrelsen’s parking lots, where there are tables and benches in many places. Most large forest roads are also accessible, so you can also pass through, for example, in a wheelchair – or with a stroller. The forest also contains many interesting ancient monuments, beautiful streams, and rich animal and plant life, which are worth exploring further. There are several rest areas with tables and benches, as well as two coastal overnight sites – both equipped with a shelter and a campfire site. At the parking lot on Flædbækvej, there is an accessible toilet.
