About this spot
Bekkasinen shelter and fire pit are located in the northern end of Pinseskoven, in a lovely clearing surrounded by birch trees. There is a composting toilet east of the shelter. Bring your own toilet paper and, if needed, hand sanitizer. The nearest water tap is at Viben campsite in the southern end of Pinseskoven or at Naturcenter Amager. You can book priority for an overnight stay in the shelter. You can stay a maximum of two consecutive nights in the shelter. Only the shelter is booked. Others may concurrently use the facilities and pitch tents at the site. Booking can be made no earlier than 3 months before the overnight stay. When booking, you must occupy the shelter before 8 PM, otherwise your priority right will lapse. You may set up individual supplementary tents by the shelter. You will typically be able to collect some firewood around the site, but if you want to ensure dry firewood, you should bring your own dry firewood or charcoal. Spare the living trees. Firewood can optionally be purchased at Friluftshuset www.naturcenteramager.dk. Motorized vehicles are not permitted into the site, and permission cannot be sought for this. Leave the site as you would wish to find it. Follow instructions on the information sign at the campsite.
