Bårsesøerne

Bårse Citizens’ Association, together with several local associations, has established an exciting outdoor area at Bårsesøerne. The nature area contains several rare plants, and the lake is the cleanest on Zealand. The area was designated for water sports activities in connection with the motorway construction, but has grown to be an exciting nature area close to town. Outdoor facilities in the area: A 75 m2 platform has been built in the northern lake by Samlingspladsen. Here you can relax in harmony with the lake and nature and/or splash or fish in the water. Fishing requires a fishing license. The platform can be used as a landing stage and stage for events, where the audience can sit on the slope down towards the lake. The Shelters: In the eastern end of the nature area, with a beautiful view over the southern lake, are 2 large 4-meter wide shelters. There is a table/bench set and a large swing-out grill stand in front of each shelter. Toilet and drinking water at Samlingspladsen approximately 100 meters from the shelters. The shelters can be booked via: https://www.baarseby.com/book-online. The Cable Ferry: The 75-meter wide southern lake can be crossed via floating bridges and a cable ferry. The floating bridges extend just over 20 meters into the lake from both shores, and the cable ferry handles the crossing of approximately 30 meters between the two floating bridges. Lunch House: The large 8-sided lunch house is suitable for having lunch if the weather is not suitable for outdoor lunch at one of the numerous table/bench sets in the area. The lunch house is also suitable for school classes that have moved their lessons to the nature area and kindergartens visiting the nature area. Observation Tower: From the 6.5-meter high observation tower, erected on the slope down towards the southern lake, there is a beautiful view over the lakes and large parts of the nature area.
