About this spot
This primitive campsite and shelter have been established on private land with support from Friluftsrådet. The shelter is built from felled larch logs from the nearby forest. Each individual log is hewn, fitted together, and sealed with moss at all joints. The floor is insulated, making it usable in winter! The work was carried out with voluntary help from students of Bjerget Efterskole, the local scout group, neighbors, and anyone else interested in learning to build with round timber. Via the link below, you can see if the shelter is available. If you would like to use the shelter, please reserve it on the booking page, unless you wish to share it with others! If you just want to pitch a tent, you do not need to make a reservation. It should be expected that there may also be tents on the site. The shelter can be booked at: https://www.supersaas.dk/schedule/Bjerget_Shelter/Bjerget_Shelter or contact Poul Erik Grønhøj at [email protected] or tel. +45 2986 7741. PAYMENT: I have not set a fixed price for using the shelter. I will leave it up to you to assess what the overnight stay has been worth to you! This means I base all operation of the site on voluntary contributions! I use all financial contributions to maintain and improve the site and its facilities, as well as pay for the additional costs of water and electricity. I would also like to keep the shed stocked with firewood. Voluntary contributions from the 2018 season paid for the water pipe to the shed, and in 2019 they made it possible to invest in a solar-heated bathing facility! In 2021, the box with kitchen equipment arrived, and in 2022, a bicycle repair workshop with tools is ready! THANKS to all contributors!
