Flyvesandet

Approximately 1 kilometer from the tip of Flyvesandet, lies Efterskolen Flyvesandet, where there are 2 shelters, each with space for approximately 5 persons. The site also has an associated campfire pit and toilet. Flyvesandet is located at the tip of Agernæs and is one of Funen’s northernmost points. Here you will find fantastic nature, where you have the opportunity to hike in one of Funen’s only areas with sand dunes. There are several bathing beaches along the coast, and the area is often visited by kite and windsurfers. The western part of the area is a protected wading area, which attracts many birds to the area. They can be observed from the bird tower, which Naturstyrelsen has established on the edge of the wetland. The nearest shopping facilities are in Bårdesø, located approximately 7 kilometers away.
