Bryrupbanen, Vrads Station, shelter 3

The site with a view of Vrads station consists of three shelters, two larger ones with room for approx. 6 people each and one small one with room for approx. 3 people. The two larger shelters (shelter 1 and 2) can be booked. The small shelter (shelter 3) is used on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a water tap, trash bins, a forest latrine, a table/bench set, and a fire pit at the site. The site is well-screened by coniferous trees. Shopping: Vrads (approx. 2 km) has a small selection of goods. Otherwise, Bryrup is approx. 4 km away. There is wood that can be used as firewood at the site, but bring your own saw or axe. The site is designed as an overnight option for hikers and cyclists on Bryrupbanestien. Bryrupbanestien is a combined cycling, hiking, and horse-riding trail, which is asphalted in half its width. The trail is laid out where the old railway between Horsens and Silkeborg used to run. Toilet and water are closed in winter. The shelter was built with support from A.P. Møller Fonden.
