About this spot
Welcome to Hagested shelter site. The site is located in the village of Hagested on the Ice Age Route by the path system that leads over Landkanalen to Audebo. If you continue along the path, you will go through a lovely natural area on the edge of Lammefjorden with beautiful meadows and rich birdlife. You are allowed to fish in the canal, but must have a special fishing permit. All of this can only be experienced on two wheels, as motor vehicle traffic on the path system is not permitted. However, it is permitted to drive up to the shelter site. The site cannot be booked - it operates on a first come, first served principle. If you have a tent, there is also the option to pitch it at the site if the shelters are occupied. You can easily find the site, which has the address Damvej 29, 4300 Holbæk. If you arrive as a cyclist on the bike path through Hagested along Nykøbingvej, turn onto the path at the old school. Then you will have the site on your right-hand side. If you come by car, you must turn down into the town opposite the church onto Præstebrovej and approx. 100 m further on, turn right onto Damvej to the car park. Then you will find the site on your left-hand side a little further on towards Børnehuset. You can read more about the local area on the area’s website.
