Vandrefalken og Vandremuslingen shelters

The Vandrefalken and Vandremuslingen shelters are located in Grønnesse Forest, right next to the almost 53 km long Halsinoen hiking trail. A perfect place to stay overnight for tired hikers, or others who wish for a night outdoors. The primitive overnight site consists of two shelters with a shared campfire area surrounded by four benches. It is possible to pitch a couple of smaller tents within 20 meters of the shelter. Each shelter accommodates 2-3 overnight guests. You may gather firewood from the forest floor, or bring it from home, but trees must not be felled. The shelter site must be left tidy, and all waste must be carried out of the forest. Remember to extinguish the fire before leaving the shelter site! The shelter can be found using the GPS coordinates, as it is not marked from the gravel road in the forest. GPS coordinates: 55.95825, 11.93578. If arriving by car, you can park at a forest car park by Amtsvej, from where there will be an approximately 500-meter hike. If using public transport, you can take a bus to the bus stop, Vink - Sverkilstrupvejen (Amtsvej), from where there is an approximately 500-meter hike.
