About this spot
Sneppen is a circular shelter built around a campfire site. The campsite is located at the northern end of Kalvebod Fælled, close to Avedørebroen. There is a composting toilet east of the shelter. Bring your own toilet paper and possibly hand sanitizer. The nearest water tap is at Viben campsite in the southern end of Pinseskoven, or at Naturcenter Amager. The campsite is intended for larger organized groups, such as associations, schools, and institutions. The site can be booked for overnight stays, for a maximum of 4 nights. Bookings can be made no earlier than one year before the overnight stay. With a booking, you must take use of the campsite before 8 PM, otherwise your priority right will lapse. If the site is not booked, it can be used during daytime hours on a first-come, first-served basis. You will typically be able to gather some firewood around the site, but if you want to ensure dry firewood, you should bring your own dry firewood or charcoal. Spare the living trees. Firewood can optionally be bought at Friluftshuset www.naturcenteramager.dk. Motor vehicle access to the site is not allowed, and permission for this cannot be applied for. Leave the site as you wish to find it. Follow the instructions on the info sign at the campsite.
