About this spot

Nørager Skov is a new, varied forest with 60% deciduous trees, 20% coniferous trees, and 20% plains, bogs, and lakes. The deciduous forest predominantly consists of oak and beech, but also lime, ash, cherry, and Norway maple leave their mark on the forest. The existing ponds, bogs, and thickets have been integrated into the new forest. The experience of terrain differences has been enhanced by omitting planting along river valleys and in ravines, while the hills have been planted. A demonstration planting with wild plants has been created along the forest roads. The forest has great local significance as an outdoor recreation area. The location of the forest was chosen to foster collaboration with children’s institutions in the area. Paths, parking lots, tables and benches, a campfire hut with a grill area, and a 7-hectare dog forest have been established.
