Melbyskovens shelterplads

You will find the shelter in Melbyskoven approximately 2.5 km east of Assens By. The shelter is located on a hilltop with a beautiful view over a forest clearing. Approximately 40 meters from the shelter, there is a packed lunch house and a multi-toilet. The packed lunch house has tables and benches, a large campfire site, and a small fire oven. If you wish to use the campfire site or the oven, you must bring your own firewood. Trees must not be felled in the forest, and due to fire hazard, there is no campfire site by the shelter – instead, use the packed lunch house’s campfire site. It is possible to book the shelter on www.bookenshelter.dk for DKK 10 per person per night. It is not possible to drive to the shelter. If you come by car, you can park at the car park on Kærumvej 2B. The forest and the shelter are owned by Assens Kommune. Address: Kærumvej 2A, 5610 Assens.
