Shelters ved Virksund Lystbådehavn

The 2 Shelters are located near the water at Virksund Marina and offer views towards Lovns Bredning, Ulbjerg cliff, and the two burial mounds south of the dam. Also called “Maren’s Udders”. In the area around Virksund, there are opportunities for many exciting bike rides and walks. There are walks along the coast and the surrounding holiday home areas. Furthermore, there are many walks in the beautiful forest area. This applies both north and south of the Hobro-Skive highway. If you enjoy cycling, there are good and safe routes all the way to Skive via the smaller towns in the area. 8 km from here, there is a grocery store in Hald. On the way there, you pass Ørslev Kloster, which is worth a visit. There is also the possibility for a lovely bike ride around the scenic Hjarbæk Fjord. A trip of approx. 40 km. There are also shopping opportunities at the gas station in Sundstrup, which is 1 km east of the dam. For 20 DKK, you can buy a shower and also use the harbor’s guest sailor kitchen. During the summer, it is possible to eat at Havnens Cafe and enjoy the exciting harbor life. There are plenty of opportunities for great experiences both east and west of the Virksund dam.
