Øghaven

Øghaven is a large open space surrounded by trees, located in the recently protected Hesbjergkile. Øghaven is located in Hesbjergskoven, owned by Naturfonden. It is only 15 km from Odense C, so the place can easily be visited by bike or on foot. The area is truly peaceful and scenic, with the opportunity to see the endangered butterfly species ‘Engperlemorsommerfugl’. Hesbjerg Skoven is its last habitat on Funen. Kong Knud Division, which is part of Det Danske Spejderkorps (Blue Scouts), built 5 shelters at the site in 2024. The shelters consist of one three-sided and 4 single ones, two of which are next to each other. There are campfire sites in front of all shelters, so food can be cooked over a fire. In addition, a large fire hut, a pole storage area, a firewood shed, and an activity shed have been erected. Furthermore, there are 3 multi-toilets, one of which is an accessible toilet.
