Hvepsevågen shelter

The shelter must be booked. The site consists of a small shelter and a campfire site with a bench. It is permitted to pitch two tents (max. 3 persons) in immediate proximity to the shelter, max. 10 meters away. You must bring your own water and firewood. However, it is permitted to collect dead branches from the forest floor, but trees must not be felled. Remember to take waste with you and extinguish the fire before leaving the site. Getting there by car: The parking lot on Gillelejevej, Hjorteljungsvej is approx. 1km away from the shelter. Cars are not permitted in the forest, but the forest roads are suitable for cyclists and pedestrians. Getting there by public transport: You can get off the bus in Esbønderup at Tingbakken bus stop and walk approx. 3.5km, through the forest to the shelter. You can also get off the bus at Skovskolen in Nødebo and walk along Esrum lake. A trip of approx. 3.5km.
