A 5-minute walk to the old town. The outdoor pool is 100 meters across the street. Shopping and fresh pretzels from the Hit Markt, which is also just 100 meters away. A visit to the old town is worthwhile, even if you just stop for a good-priced butcher’s lunch. Also new is the good, free Bavarian Wi-Fi. This site is surrounded by trees, so there’s very little satellite reception. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to get through the trees. Booking/paying for a pitch is usually done with a smartphone by scanning a QR code. You’ll be guided through the menu and can add optional services: electricity, fresh water, and cassette emptying. Greywater emptying is always free of charge. There’s a separate QR code for supply and disposal only. Everything is described in the display case. Alternatively, you can call the “Stadt-Info” (city information center) and pay in cash. Please note: The system assumes that every RV is there for 24 hours (even though the pitch appears to be free). Only after this time, when the LED changes from red to green (exactly when this will happen is unknown in advance), should the next person be able to book the pitch and only then will they have access to electricity. If you’re having trouble finding your way around, the city administration staff will be very friendly and competent, and they seem to be very accommodating if you run into any problems.
